Tom Kenyon holds a B.A. in Speech and Communications and a Masters Degree in Psychological Counseling. After working as a Counselor and Psychotherapist for several years, Tom began to incorporate music as part of his therapy, noting that it deepened and accelerated the psychotherapeutic process. In 1983, based upon these observations, Tom founded Acoustic Brain Research to scientifically document the effects of sound and music on the human brain and behavior. One result of his ten years in brain research was to develop a transformational psychoacoustic technology based upon both brain entrainment and the emotive qualities of tonal patterns. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book, Brain States (New Leaf Publishing) and has created over 100 psychoacoustic programs to tap the hidden potentials of the human brain and mind. Tom’s current focus is on the use of sound and music as catalytic evolutionary agents and on bridging the worlds of science and mystical insight, including the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Egyptian High Alchemy and esoteric Christianity.

In addition to his book on the brain, he is also the author of The Hathor Material (ORB Communications) and The Magdalen Manuscript (ORB Communications), which he co-authored with his wife, Judi Sion. He was also a featured author in The Great Shift (Samuel Weiss).

Roger Nelson, Ph.D., is an experimental psychologist with a special interest in the lesser known aspects of perception and cognition. During the 1970′s he was a professor at a small college in Vermont, who typically said yes when good students wanted to do experiments in parapsychology. A series of coincidences led him to Princeton University in 1980, where he coordinated research at the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) lab until he retired in 2002. In 1997 he founded the Global Consciousness Project (GCP) which he continues to direct. Nelson’s broad interests in psychology, physics, philosophy, and the arts have generated many opportunities to collaborate with creative people, including the interdisciplinary teams at PEAR and the GCP, developing technologies and experimental applications to study consciousness, intention, and mind-matter interactions both in the laboratory and in natural situations.

At the PEAR lab, Nelson managed the development of a variety of intention-based experiments. The University’s school of engineering was at the center of advances in electronic and computer technology, ensuring that the PEAR experiments were at the cutting edge. By 1993, Nelson was using random number generators (RNG) in the field to register correlations of data with special states of group consciousness even in the absence of intentions. A few years later, this work led naturally to the GCP, which exploits the same RNG technology as the lab and field experiments, but in a world-spanning instrument designed to monitor the effects of globally shared emotions or states of consciousness. Like many scientists working at the edges of what we know, Nelson is conservative, demanding high quality science that embodies both skepticism and an open mind. Based on a decade of increasingly persuasive evidence from the GCP analyses, he has shifted focus toward public presentations about the research and its implications. Dr. James D’Angelo has had a multi-faceted career in music as a lecturer (City University of New York), classical/jazz pianist, organist, composer, workshop leader and writer on therapeutic sound and metaphysical subjects. James holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and a PhD from New York University. In 1984 he emigrated from New York to London, England and eventually took up a teaching position at Goldsmiths College.

James is a published and prize-winning composer with many works to his credit. They have been performed in New York, London, Milan, Helsinski and on BBC Television. His music is in the repertory of the Gloucester Cathedral choir. His music has been featured into two London mini-festivals and his Three Portraits of Krishna has been recorded on Virgin Classics alongside works by Copland, Barber and Rorem. As a performer James continues to give concerts and has a cabaret duo with singer Jenna Monroe.

In 1994 he began to develop courses that focus on the theory and practice of therapeutic sound primarily through the voice using toning, chanting and overtoning but also through tuning forks. He is a prominent figure and authority on sound healing practices in the UK and one of twelve special authors on the premier sound healing website: soundtravels.co.uk. He has been invited to speak at the prestigious Scientific and Medical Network annual conference, the Glastonbury Symposium, and two Caduceus conferences (UK) and at two Sound Colloquiums and two Message Company conferences (USA).

James is the author of Healing With The Voice first published in 2000 by Harper-Collins. Subsequently the revised and expanded edition (with CD) of the book entitled The Healing Power of the Human Voice was produced by Healing Arts Press (Inner Traditions, 2005). He has just completed his next book The Sacred Alphabet which reveals the relationship between language, vowels and consonants and the chakra energy centres.

Dr. Jeffrey Thompson is a worldwide expert in the field of modulated sound frequencies incorporated into musical audio programs. Randy Masters is often referred to as an Artist in Resonance as he teaches music, sound healing, sacred geometry, color and Mystery School Studies. Randy has done several intenational film scores and has composed for many well known musicians. He taught Jazz music studies at UCSC and San Jose State University for 17 years. She is an internationally accredited specialist in cross-cultural music therapies, including music in shamanism.

Silvia holds Master’s Degrees in Music Composition, Psychology, and Music Therapy. In addition to her many academic credentials, Silvia has devoted more than 27 years to the study of classical Indian music and the art of raga singing under the direction of the late Maestro Ali Akbar Khan. Her work has led her to participate in the research of micro-tonal singing and clinical uses of the voice to support emotional healing. Silvia’s therapeutic vocal techniques have become landmarks in the field of integrative sound healing, and widely used in Hospices, Wellness and Integrative Medicine Centers.

Silvia teaches at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco where she created the certificate program in Sound, Voice and Music Healing, the first program of its kind offered by a major academic institution. She is also the founding director of The Vox Mundi School of Sound and the Voice, that has committed more than 22 years to the preservation of unusual vocal arts through performance, education, and spiritual practice, with ongoing programs in the Bay Area, Hawaii, Brazil, Argentina, and India.

Her interest in indigenous music and spirituality has led her to work with many traditional healers of Indian and South American shamanic traditions.
