Donna Carey, Lac, is co-founder of the Kairos Institute of Sound Healing, creator of the Acutonics Healing System, and vice president of Devachan Press. She is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, sound healer, educator, and poet, trained in Western and Eastern medicine and the arts. Donna also received advanced training in the Egyptian mystery tradition at the Sacred Dimensions Medicine School. She was clinical dean of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, where she created and administered more than fourteen profitable interdisciplinary community clinics and integrated the Acutonics Healing System into mainstream clinical settings. Donna is co-author of Acutonics From Galaxies to Cells, Planetary Science, Harmony, and Medicine, and Acutonics: There’s No Place Like Ohm, Sound Healing, Oriental Medicine and the Cosmic Mysteries . She has also co-authored numerous professional articles that have appeared in leading journals and is also an accomplished poet.
Driven by the desire to create a sustainable future, Donna is also engaged in experiments in the intentional use of sound vibration to enhance agricultural production. Incorporating knowledge of human physiology, meridians, planetary science, biodynamics, and sound vibration, her research has focused on the effects of sympathetic sound vibration and dimensional harmonics on seed germination, plant pollination, fruit setting, and quality and quantity of fruit and vegetable production. In addition to her busy teaching schedule, extensive gardens, and a 33-foot geodesic growing dome, and a forest stewardship program, keep her very busy.
Ellen Franklin, MA, is CEO of the Kairos Institute of Sound Healing and president of Devachan Press. She has worked closely with Donna Carey to co-develop new curriculum and refine the Acutonics Certification Program. An avid horsewoman, Ellen also oversaw the launch of the equine Acutonics program. She is a co-author of Acutonics From Galaxies to Cells, Planetary, Science, Harmony and Medicine, and has co-authored numerous articles that have appeared in magazines and professional journals. A certified practitioner and teacher of the Acutonics System of Healing and Education, Ellen travels throughout the world speaking at conferences and teaching the Acutonics Certification Program.
Ellen spent more than twenty years in senior leadership positions in rapid-growth, transitioning, and start-up organizations. Since leaving the corporate world, she has dedicated her efforts to the creation of educational programs and products that promote health, inner harmony, and a deeper understanding of sound healing and harmonic medicine. Ellen received her MA in human and organizational development and is currently working on her PhD in psychology, with a specialization in Jungian Psychology. She has been exploring the roles that myths and archetypes play in our daily lives, families, and organizations for more than twenty years.

Tom Kenyon holds a B.A. in Speech and Communications and a Masters Degree in Psychological Counseling. After working as a Counselor and Psychotherapist for several years, Tom began to incorporate music as part of his therapy, noting that it deepened and accelerated the psychotherapeutic process. In 1983, based upon these observations, Tom founded Acoustic Brain Research to scientifically document the effects of sound and music on the human brain and behavior. One result of his ten years in brain research was to develop a transformational psychoacoustic technology based upon both brain entrainment and the emotive qualities of tonal patterns. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book, Brain States (New Leaf Publishing) and has created over 100 psychoacoustic programs to tap the hidden potentials of the human brain and mind. Tom’s current focus is on the use of sound and music as catalytic evolutionary agents and on bridging the worlds of science and mystical insight, including the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Egyptian High Alchemy and esoteric Christianity.
In addition to his book on the brain, he is also the author of The Hathor Material (ORB Communications) and The Magdalen Manuscript (ORB Communications), which he co-authored with his wife, Judi Sion. He was also a featured author in The Great Shift (Samuel Weiss).
Tom conducts workshops and leads tours throughout the world. His website, tomkenyon.com offers a wealth of scientific information about psychoacoustics as well as many articles on sound and consciousness as well as free samplings of his sound work.
